On September 10th, the Cantinetta Balmelli, previously known as Ristorante Balmelli, reopened under new management!

We are pleased to announce the return of Cantinetta Balmelli under the leadership of Federico Haas and Alessandro Taddei, who are ready to continue the tradition and local heritage that have made this establishment a regional landmark since 1912.

The story of Cantinetta Balmelli begins in 1912 when Giovanni Balmelli and his wife started their restaurant business in Gentilino, on the picturesque Collina d'Oro. The restaurant remained under their management until 1949, when it passed to various managers, continuing almost uninterrupted under the name "Ristorante Balmelli." In 1968, within these very walls, the glorious US Gentilino was founded, now known as FC Collina d’Oro.

Federico and Alessandro are committed to continuing this path, keeping the essence of Cantinetta Balmelli alive with a cuisine that honors tradition and celebrates local flavors.

Hours:

Open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 5:30 PM to 11:00 PM (with the kitchen open from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM, until 10:30 PM on Friday and Saturday). On Sundays, we welcome you for Lazy Sunday starting at 9:00 AM, with a fixed menu for lunch until 2:00 PM.
